The Detroit Lions have a couple of notable veterans missing from OTAs right now.

Report: Lions' $54 Million All-Pro is Not Happy With His Contract

Those two players are linebacker Alex Anzalone and center Frank Ragnow.

While speaking to the press recently, head coach Dan Campbell said that both players have been in contact with the team, but wouldn't get into details on why either player was missing.

A new report has revealed why one of the players isn't taking part in OTAs.

According to the Detroit Free Press' Dave Birkett, Ragnow is not happy with his current contract.

Ragnow also is unhappy with the extension he signed in 2021 that made him the highest-paid center in the NFL. He has two years left on his deal and is due to make $9.15 million this fall.

Ragnow is heading into the third year of the four-year, $54 million contract extension he signed back in 2021.

At the time he signed the deal, it was the most expensive center contract in the league. Now he only ranks fourth in yearly salary at the position.

He also makes $4.5 million less per year than Creed Humphrey, who now leads the position.

Ragnow has earned himself a pay bump with the way he has played since the extension came into effect. He has been named an All-Pro in each of the first two years of the deal.

Ragnow has anchored a Lions offensive line that has become one of the NFL's best in recent years and having just turned 29 years old, should remain an important part of that unit for a while.

He still has a couple of years left on his current deal, but it would be surprising if the Lions didn't work something out with him to keep one of their most important players happy.
