RHOBH Alum Teddi Mellencamp Reveals She is Divorcing Husband Edwin Arroyave After 13 Years of Marriage, See Her Statement About the Split

Just moments ago, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum took to her Instagram page to share the shocking news of her split from her husband of 13 years.

“After a great deal of care and consideration, I have made the difficult decision to file for divorce,” wrote Teddi on November 2 on Instagram. “My priority is my children and ensuring that every care is taken with their privacy and wellbeing throughout this new chapter.”

She continued, “Making a public statement is not something I wanted to do but in an effort to protect my family from undue speculation and rumors, I felt being open, honest and vulnerable was the best path forward.”

Teddi, 43, and Edwin, 47, share three children — Slate, 11, Dove, 4,  and Cruz, 8. Edwin also has an older daughter, Isabella, 14, from a previous relationship. The couple tied the knot back in 2011.

Last year, Teddi admitted she and Edwin almost got divorced as she spoke about their past marital issues, and explaining how they overcame them.

“When we first started [RHOBH], I remember my first day honestly it was like ‘F–ck, at what point do I tell everybody that I’m getting a divorce? Like when do I do this?’” Teddi admitted on an episode of her podcast Two Ts in a Pod in 2023.

“We are at our worst absolute phase, because, truthfully, for us, it was really about a power struggle,” she added.

Teddi further explained that when she initially joined the RHOBH cast in 2017, she was in a “weaker position” than Edwin.

“We were always kind of equals when we were together. I rode horses, I was competitive, and I was all these things. Then I couldn’t get pregnant naturally, I did all these IVFs.” she shared. “Then, all of a sudden, he was in charge of our finances, and I had never been that. I never not had my own money, I had been working since I was 17. Then I just started hating him.”

Teddi added that she ultimately started loving herself again, and in turn, Edwin.

“Once I started loving myself again, we could start loving each other because when I don’t love myself we don’t love each other,” Teddi shared last year.

For the time being, Edwin has yet to publicly comment on this split.
