It’s the season 14 reunion for The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. While in makeup, Andy pays a few of the women a visit and he warns Dorit to leave nothing on the table…or stage. The ladies are dripping in glitz, glamour, sparkles, and diamonds-all very fitting- but Kyle , the 14-year-veteran, avoids looking at Garcelle, despite her telling TMZ things are okay between them.
The St. Lucia set brings back all the memories: good, bad, or otherwise. Luckily, Kyle has brought her crystals with her to keep her calm and out of the hospital, like Sutton last year. Erika gets props for her song Drip being on the Anora soundtrack and Garcelle is celebrating her new granddaughter.
Sutton laughs off jokes about Kathy, Dorit is congratulated for being in British Vogue, and Bozoma is just excited to be there (so cute of her). Kyle intends to leave today feeling better than when they arrived and Garcelle is hoping to get a cast photo this year.
Dorit’s segment is up first. Andy describes her as a cigarette-smoking force to be reckoned with this season. Dorit is a self-proclaimed social smoker, turned stress smoker, and Andy muses if PK sent Kyle any memes of Dorit chain smoking.
Speaking of PK, Dorit still has not told her children about their separation. She thinks so long as the grownups remain ok, then the kids are ok. Sutton explains that she wants to help Dorit by learning from her mistakes, as she did not tell her children about her divorce way back when. Dorit questions Sutton’s motives and, when asked if she still loves PK, gives a monologue about how he is her “soul, my blood, and my heart.” Translation: yes, she still loves him.
But after the way she ripped into him this season, it is a wonder WHY she would. Rather than show up on set, PK sent a powerful statement.
“I don’t believe engaging with Dorit in this forum would be constructive.” He calls her words throughout the season heartbreaking, especially when she called him a bad father.
“Dorit has made several mischaracterizations about me, but the one I must address is the claim that I am a bad father. That statement is both heartbreaking and false. It is deeply hurtful to me and more importantly, to our children, who, despite Dorit’s assertion, will inevitably see and hear all of this at a time not of our choosing,” he wrote. “The Dorit I married would never have allowed this, much less caused it. That woman embodied kindness, integrity, and grace. I can only hope this version of Dorit finds her way back to the person she once was.”
PK goes on to say, “I refuse to stoke a fire I did not ignite” and “I can only hope this version of Dorit finds her way back to the person she once ways.”
Naturally, Dorit goes on the defense, claiming she is right to change in 14 years. Yes, the clothes and glam did become a “point of contention” in their relationship, but according to Dorit, PK loves the fame…he may even be insecure of her fame.
Kyle admits that she, too, saw a Dorit she did not know this season. Dorit was a more aggressive, angry version of herself. When it comes to PK, “the Monster,” Dorit feels hurt that Kyle claimed to have never seen that side of PK. Kyle reminds Dorit that PK never used the word alcoholic on camera, and to Sutton it looked like Dorit was throwing PK under the bus. Kyle stands by thinking that Dorit was exaggerating about PK, since Dorit exaggerated so much about HER.
Take for instance the time Kyle reached out to Dorit about the separation. No one else texted Dorit, but Kyle did, yet she is getting pummeled. Dorit tries to pivot this and change the topic to PK/Kyle text-gate, but Andy gets the ladies back on track. Regarding PK’s sobriety, Dorit’s vague answer leaves everyone wondering if he is drinking again, especially when Dorit states she is concerned about him.
Sutton has many opinions about PK and Dorit’s finances, but Dorit is calling BS. In Dorit’s eyes, in order to worry about someone, you have to care about that person. Sutton says she is worried “for all women” when it comes time to divorce, but Dorit laughs this off.
When it comes to finances, Dorit denies that the house in under foreclosure and instead corrects it to PRE-foreclosure (wtf). Dorit believes that PK resolved the housing issue, but as of a week ago, Dorit has chosen not to have a relationship with PK…except for co-parenting purposes. The future that Dorit once believed in is crumbling before her eyes.
Boz gets introduced as Dorit’s spokesperson and admits that she did watch the show beforehand. However, being on the show is way more intense. Boz talks about losing her Malibu home in the fires and explains that no one has ever given her anything, so this is devastating.
When it comes to her love life, things with Keely are still going great. Thankfully, they HAVE said I love you to each other, so talking about having kids seems more realistic. In fact, Boz is in the process of retrieving eggs and calls it “frustrating” to hear other people’s opinions about her hopes and dreams.
Boz shares that before filming, she tried to shake Garcelle down about the women, but Garcelle directed her to be open to everyone. That is exactly how she became “Boz-um buddies” with Dorit. Boz wonders if Sutton and Garcelle are jealous of their friendship, but Garcelle scoffs at this. The only issue she ever had was when Boz and Dorit would have their own private convos in a group setting.
Garcelle reminds the group that over the last five years, everyone had an issue with her being friends with Sutton, but in the end, she is just essentially glad Dorit made a friend. Boz doesn’t like that there was a thought that she was being manipulated by Dorit, but Garcelle was just calling it like she was seeing it.
Erika has a big, fat problem with Garcelle not sharing the “juicy scoop about her life.” This is hilarious considering Erika’s storyline was a makeover of her (small) house. Also, the last time Garcelle did involve her family and open up, Erika cursed out her son, so there’s that. Erika continues to shake down Garcelle for intel and states, “I wish you were more interesting, I guess.” Ooph. Just because Garcelle doesn’t have an ugly, public divorce to share doesn’t mean she is holding back!
Kyle jumps in on cue. Over the last 14 years, she HAS shown everything and opened up, but Garcelle muses why now, suddenly, the Morgan of it all has to be kept hush-hush. Morgan was, after all, a part of the show last year, and now they are supposed to pretend like Kyle is not out gallivanting around with Morgan? Kyle claims that Morgan came on the show as a “favor,” but now she is respecting Morgan’s wishes for privacy.
Garcelle wonders why Kyle would talk to her about this off camera and she points out that Sutton called it a “chess move.” Sutton NOW thinks that Kyle is just trying to protect Morgan, but Kyle has had enough. She calls Sutton and Garcelle mean girls, which is rich coming from one of the members of the Fox Force Five. Garcelle just wants Kyle to stop worrying about what other people think, but Kyle feels like the “lesbian” comment Garcelle said was meant to embarrass her.
The concept of friendship seems to be hard to understand amongst this group. Erika wonders if Sutton has to back Garcelle up 24/7, but Garcelle was just looking for support. Kyle is tired of everyone “coming for her a*s” and it’s not her “f*cking problem” that she is important to Sutton. Ouch. Dorit jumps in to explain that she gravitated towards Boz because she was so real, as if she deserves a prize for choosing a good friend.
While on Garcelle…still…Dorit wants to know why Garcelle seems to be “obsessed” with her break-in. Garcelle stands by her opinion that this was a set-up, perhaps because the guy gave Dorit back her phone (thanks for reminding us, Andy!).
Dorit becomes defensive and accidentally calls Garcelle Sutton because let’s be honest, she is just so used to attacking Sutton all season long. Dorit is furious that Garcelle intimated PK planned this break-in and goes on and on about how he would never send men in the house while her children slept. Boz says it dangerous for Garcelle to say how SHE IS FEELING.
Andy calls for a break and obviously, Sutton feels like everyone hates her. Garcelle is in a state of shock because she evidently can’t have an opinion or say how she feels. Only during this break does Sutton run to her “friend” Garcelle’s rescue. Garcelle is sick of tip-toeing around everyone and refuses to be the bad guy.
She unleashes and rattles off that she is self-made, wasn’t born with a silver spoon in her mouth, was not involved in criminal activity, and doesn’t have a rich husband. Sutton points out that Erika doesn’t have a rich husband either (boom), but I sure wish Garcelle brought this anger and heat to Erika on set. Bet Erika would have shut up real quick…
