Dorit Kemsley responded to a fan on Instagram who questioned her about her separation from Paul “PK” Kemsley over the weekend.
Days after the couple announced their split with an emotional joint statement, the 47-year-old Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star admitted that “sh*t happens,” shared a meme about dusting off her diamond (aka her full-time spot on the show), and stepped out in Los Angeles with her wedding ring still on.
“Wait I thought y’all were stronger than ever?” the fan had asked Dorit in an Instagram comment.
“We were,” Dorit replied in a comment of her own. “Sh*t happens. It’s called life — try it sometime. One day at a time.”
In another Instagram post, shared to her Story, Dorit reshared a meme posted by Christian Gray Snow in which Real Housewives of Atlanta star Sheree Whitfield, 54, was seen sweeping dust off of her porch.
“Dorit dusting off her diamond after announcing her separation from PK,” the caption read, seemingly in a nod to reports claiming Dorit would be demoted if she didn’t come clean about her separation from PK.
Meanwhile, on Friday, as she stepped out in Los Angeles to film scenes for the upcoming 14th season of RHOBH, Dorit was photographed with her engagement ring and wedding band.
As seen in images shared by Page Six on May 10, Dorit was wearing a black top with white writing, which she paired with a black, quilted leather jacket, jeans, and dark sunglasses.
As RHOBH fans surely saw, Dorit and PK, who wed in 2015 and share two kids, including son Jagger, 10, and daughter Phoenix, 8, confirmed their separation on Instagram last Thursday.
“We as a couple have been subject to a lot of speculation about our marriage. We have had our struggles over the last few years and continue to work through them as two people who love each other and share two amazing children together. To [safeguard] our deep friendship and maintain a harmonious environment for our children we have made the mutual and difficult decision to take some time apart and reevaluate our relationship while we prioritize our children,” they wrote.
“We appreciate your love and support while we continue to do the work necessary throughout this journey,” they added.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 14 is currently in production and expected to premiere on Bravo sometime later this year or early next year.
