We definitely didn’t have a Brooke Candy and Erika Jayne feud on our radar for 2025, but this year is full of surprises. Do you remember how the two collaborated on that song called Drip, which wound up being featured in the Oscar-winning film, Anora? Well, Brooke is feeling frustrated with how the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star has failed to give her credit for their song on multiple occasions.
Erika Jayne had to correct her caption after Brooke Candy called her out over their Anora song Drip
Brooke and Erika collaborated on Drip back in 2019. It served as the second single on Brooke’s Sexorcism album. A few years later, the song found new life in the film Anora, which swept the 2025 Academy Awards.
At the RHOBH Season 14 reunion, Andy Cohen commended Erika on the song’s success, but she failed to mention Brooke’s name. Erika simply remarked, “I’m a feature on the song.”
When Brooke saw that, she logged into her TikTok and blasted Erika. At the bare minimum, she felt like Erika could have at least said her name. Brooke asked, “Girl, why could you have not used that moment to give me my flowers?”
She continued, “I put you on that song on an album, which mind you, featured incredible artists.”
“I had features from Rico Nasty,” Brooke added. “I had features from Charli XCX.”
According to Brooke, this latest incident was just another example of questionable behavior from Erika. In an interview with Page Six, she revealed how Erika snubbed her on an Instagram post when promoting Anora.
“I’m basically a part of this article because I’d like to be a voice for all independent artists everywhere because we are so often overlooked, we’re so often stolen from, we’re so often unable to make a living for ourselves,” Brooke told the outlet.
Brooke explained how she personally managed the deal to get Drip into Anora’s soundtrack. Once the film started getting buzz, the film’s production company arranged for a handful of promotional screenings. They invited Erika to host one of them.
When Erika posted about the event to Instagram, she wrote in the caption that the screening was to celebrate “my song Drip.” It wasn’t until Brooke texted Erika that she updated the post. Now, the caption says she was celebrating “the song Drip with myself and @brookecandy.”
Although these snubs might seem small, Brooke explained that they add up for smaller artists who are fighting to have their art seen on a broader scale. In Brooke’s opinion, Erika doesn’t understand that experience.
“She is the antithesis of an empathetic compassionate artist just fighting to live and fighting to get by,” Brooke said.
