Robert Saleh sticks his foot in his mouth with brutal quote after NY Jets loss

The NY Jets played a game against the Denver Broncos that may as well have come straight from the last two seasons. A strong defensive performance was let down by some poor quarterback play and a terrible offensive line that led to a 10-9 upset at the hands of a rookie in Bo Nix.

Robert Saleh and the Jets made Nix look like a high-school quarterback in the first half, but they did surrender two scoring drives while being unable to find the end zone. When paired with 13 accepted penalties and five sacks of Aaron Rodgers (who missed some big throws), the final result was a crushing home loss.

While Saleh has some memorable quotes when things are going well, he is prone to sticking his foot in his mouth when the Jets lose. He did that just again against Denver, blaming Mother Nature for his team's inability to beat a rookie with a historically bad first game.

Saleh was quoted as saying this game was "going to be tough sledding no matter what because of the rain." Denver apparently was not impacted by the rain, as they ran the ball to seal the victory while Rodgers and Breece Hall struggled. Come on, Saleh!
