In a pivotal first-half drive, the Dallas Cowboys took control as Brandon “Butter” Aubrey nailed a 29-yard field goal, extending their lead over the San Francisco 49ers to 10-3 late in the second quarter. The Cowboys’ offense found its rhythm, with Dak Prescott capitalizing on a key pass to receiver Jalen Tolbert to move them well within scoring range.

Starting at their own 43-yard line after a 49ers failed fourth-down attempt, the Cowboys immediately gained ground with a defensive penalty on San Francisco’s Nick Bosa, advancing five yards to set up a more manageable first down. Prescott, steady under pressure, targeted Jake Ferguson and later connected with Tolbert on a critical 28-yard gain, pushing the Cowboys down to the 49ers’ 13-yard line and setting up a promising opportunity.

Following a short completion to Ferguson that nearly turned costly due to a fumble, the Cowboys ultimatelysettled for Aubrey’s 29-yard field goal extending their lead to 10-3 and confidently put the Cowboys ahead by seven with under three minutes left in the first half.

Aubrey’s kick came after an unusual week in which he missed team practice to fulfill jury duty obligations, making his accuracy on the field even more impressive. Dallas, leading 10-3 with just under three minutes left in the first half, will aim to maintain control as the game progresses, leaning on Prescott's steady passing and Aubrey’s reliable leg.

Aubrey of course, is in the news for spending most of last week in jury duty.

Despite the 49ers' top-five offense and formidable passing attack, the Cowboys’ defense has kept the pressure high on quarterback Brock Purdy, containing the 49ers to just one field goal thus far. With standout efforts on both sides of the ball, Dallas looks determined to keep momentum through halftime and beyond.

As the game progresses, Dallas aims to maintain control and continue utilizing both Prescott’s passing accuracy and Aubrey’s reliable leg to secure a potential victory against a fierce 49ers squad.
