Saints are using Alvin Kamara to tease their interest in Shedeur Sanders

The New Orleans Saints have been linked to Shedeur Sanders, and a recent move by Alvin Kamara has fans thinking the team is planning to draft the quarterback.

Alvin Kamara unintentionally creates even more QB controversy around the New Orleans Saints ahead of 2025 NFL Draft

After Shedeur Sanders threw around 60 passes at Colorado’s pro day on Friday, something shifted. The quarterback prospect was suddenly being linked to the New Orleans Saints. After seeming like a lock for the top six during the early part of draft season, there’s now a belief that Sanders could slide and be available for the Saints at No. 9.

While everyone has to wait until draft night to see if that will actually happen, neither side is hiding their interest in each other. Speaking with the media on the day of the pro day, Sanders expressed that he’s a fan of Kellen Moore the player, and thinks it’d be great to learn from him since he has the experience of playing quarterback.

That same day, Deion Sanders, Shedeur’s father and coach, made it known how much he likes the black and gold colors, as well as the city of New Orleans and it’s food.

With all of the buzz surrounding the younger Sanders and the Saints, fans were intrigued to see New Orleans running back Alvin Kamara in Boulder, Colorado, attending one of the Buffs’ practices. Of course, the Saints played into the speculation, reposting the picture with the caption “Legendary linkup.” With “legendary” being Shedeur Sanders’ catchphrase, fans quickly picked up what New Orleans’ social media team was putting down.

Saints lean into Shedeur Sanders speculation as Alvin Kamara visits Colorado

To be fair, this was likely a coincidence. Since Deion Sanders took over at Colorado, they’ve become the most high-profile college program, so they have NFL stars and celebrities on campus almost everyday. Additionally, Kamara’s personal trainer, Andreu Swasey, is the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach for Colorado, so the star running back was making sure to check in with him as well.

Those facts don’t mean New Orleans doesn’t have serious interest in Shedeur Sanders, though. The team has been doing work on all of the quarterback prospects, including Sanders, so the interest is real. Draft night will determine if the Saints actually have the chance to select him, and if they will.
