Saints Bring in Journeyman Offensive Lineman for Free Agent Visit

New Orleans continues to look for depth to add to their offensive line.

The New Orleans Saints continue to look for offensive line help.

The Saints are hosting former undrafted free agent Vitaliy Gurman for a visit during minicamp, per NFL insider Aaron Wilson.

the former Toledo Rockets' offensive line stand-out was impressive during his senior season in college, earning third-team All-MAC honors.

Gurman, 26, went undrafted in 2022 and signed with the Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted free agent. The former Toledo star was later released ahead of the 2022 season and signed to the Las Vegas Raiders practice squad.

The 6-foot-3 guard would later be released and have brief stints with the Arizona Cardinals and New York Jets before signing on with the San Antonio Brahmas of the UFL in 2024.

With the UFL season coming to an end, players from the Spring Football League's rosters will start to find their way onto the NFL's transactions lists. Notable players such as KaVontae Turpin and Younghoe Koo have revived their NFL careers with impressive showings during the spring football season.

The Saints are always looking for offensive line depth with a history of injuries. While Gurman will likely not be challenging the team's current starters for a spot, history will tell that he may get a chance to see game action due to the frequency of injuries to the team's offensive line in the past.

While he has yet to participate in an NFL game, the combination of starting all four seasons in college and a full season with the San Antonio Brahmas provides a nice cushion of experience under the 26-year-old offensive lineman's belt.

If signed, Gurman will likely be buried at the bottom of the roster but can earn a spot on the practice squad if he performs well in preseason.
