The New Orleans Saints aren’t having the best season, but they do have bragging rights over the Dallas Cowboys.
The New Orleans Saints are one of the teams in the league this season that isn’t in a position to talk trash. They’re currently 4-7, had a four-game losing streak, and saw their head coach get fired already. However, there are a few teams having worse seasons than New Orleans, and the Saints definitely have bragging rights over them.
One of those teams is the Dallas Cowboys. Not only does Dallas have a worse record right now at 3-7, the Cowboys were embarrassed by the Saints back in Week 2, losing 44-19. That game is responsible for another wild stat that shows just how bad this season has been for Dallas.
No team has scored more touchdowns in AT&T Stadium this season than the Saints, including the Cowboys. New Orleans has only played one game there this year; Dallas has played five.
Back in Week 2, New Orleans scored six touchdowns in their dominant win over Dallas. Alvin Kamara had four of those touchdowns, so he almost has as many touchdowns as the entire Cowboys team has at home this season.
In Dallas’ five home games this year, the team is 0-5, and was dominated in all five games. The only home game for the Cowboys this season that wasn’t decided by double digits was the game against the Baltimore Ravens that ended 28-25. However, Baltimore led 28-6 in the fourth quarter, and Dallas capitalized on the Ravens going into cruise control.
The Week 2 matchup was foreshadowing for Dallas’ season, but didn’t quite represent how New Orleans’ season would unfold. After that game, the Saints offense fell on its face while dealing with multiple injuries. However, they seemingly got back in their groove in Week 11, dropping 35 points on the Cleveland Browns. New Orleans is hoping to keep that rhythm through the bye week.
