The New Orleans Saints have critical decisions to make over the next several days.
There's more salary cap adjustments coming, as two moves have helped pave the way for chipping away at the deficit. Erik McCoy recently restructured his contract and the team also released Jamaal Williams to clear up a little space. It won't take much, assuming one of the biggest dominos to fall is Derek Carr.
The Saints will be players in free agency, although it might not look like big splashes and signings, but they will always look to improve their roster. Part of those decisions could be in whether they retain some of their own, namely Chase Young, Paulson Adebo and Juwan Johnson.
Ross Jackson, who covers the Saints on Locked On and for Louisiana Sports, joined me on Thursday morning for our Second and Saints podcast to discuss what New Orleans could do with their impending free agents and more.
