Saints QB Derek Carr gets brutally honest about his massive mistake early in loss against Chiefs

   

The New Orleans Saints' frustrations continue. They just lost to the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday Night Football, 26-13. The offense was incredibly inconsistent, and the defense consistently allowed big plays.

After the game, Saints quarterback Derek Carr discussed the loss, his injury status, the offensive line play, and more with the media. 

Carr explains interception on first possession 

On New Orleans' first possession, Carr got pressured immediately after the snap. He tried to throw a deep ball out of bounds to avoid a sack. Instead, he under threw the pass, and it landed in the hands of Chiefs safety Bryan Cook. 

The Saints quarterback said that the turnover was boneheaded and stupid. He took blame for the mistake.

Carr updates his injury status

Carr says that he is not feeling good after the game due to his oblique injury. He noted that he could not do what he wanted to do, so he could not return to action in the fourth quarter. 

The Saints QB says that he will do anything to be back out there for the team for Week 6 game against Tampa Bay Buccaneers. 

He will have an MRI tomorrow and find out more information regarding his injury on Tuesday.

Overall, the injuries continue to mount, and Dennis Allen's team continues to show blemishes that are costing them wins this season. They must right the ship sooner than later, or the playoffs will be out of reach once again for New Orleans.
