The New Orleans Saints lost another key piece to their offense in Week 15. They fell to the Washington Commanders, and Alvin Kamara suffered a groin injury.
Alvin Kamara Injury
The biggest reason for an increased workload for the young RB is anotrhe injury to Alvin Kamara. The star RB suffered a groin injury in the loss to Washington. His timetable for return is unknown.
New Orleans needs to avoid any sort of further issue with Kamara's groin. Expect updates on the RB's status early this week.
Playing the backup with upside makes tons of sense. With the playoffs basically out of reach for the Saints, let him show you what he can do with a bigger workload out of the backfield.
Kendre Miller impresses again
Miller stacked another nice performance on top of his explosive outing in Week 14. The young running back ran hard and with purpose. He averaged over five yards per carry and took care of the football as well.
Miller did have a drop, but that's to be expected without a ton of reps in the passing game for Miller. Continuing to develop him is the most important piece of the Saints' backfield for the rest of this season.
