The New Orleans Saints already have tons of question marks surrounding their wide receiver depth, and things just got even more confusing as a fan favorite is on injury watch.
Jeff Nowak of WWL Radio reported during the preseason game that wide receiver Bub Means was taken back to the locker room with what was described as a "lower-leg issue." Nowak also noted that this was also the same building and field where Means suffered the ankle injury that ended his season last year.
Means was a fifth-round draft pick last year who has flashed, mostly in practice, with fans waiting for him to break through in the wide receiver room. There is space for production past the top three in the room, which will now be harder for Means to fill if this is a serious injury. He had one catch for 12 yards before leaving the game.
Last year, he had nine catches for 118 yards and a touchdown in seven games and 145 offensive snaps.
