San Francisco 49ers Given Bold $55 Million Brock Purdy Prediction

The San Francisco 49ers have been mentioned a lot in the rumor mill when it comes to quarterback Brock Purdy.

Throughout the course of the offseason, the two sides have been working on a potential contract extension. It seems likely that they will be able to work something out, but the money is going to be difficult to haggle out.

Purdy is looking for a major pay day. He has also earned that pay day.

Dak Prescott's $60 million per year salary has been a rumored mark that Purdy would like to reach. However, the 49ers have been hesitant to give him that kind of money.

One NFL analyst has spoken out with a bold prediction for what Purdy will end up getting from San Francisco.

During an appearance on the "Pat McAfee Show," analyst Peter Schrager boldly predicted that Purdy will not receive more than $55 million and that he does not see the 49ers' signal caller being one of the NFL's highest-paid quarterbacks.

"I don't see Brock Purdy making north of $55M," Schrager said. "Obviously the 49ers want to sign him and I'm curious to see what the number is."

In 2024, Purdy and the team as a whole had a down season. With a 6-11 record, San Francisco missed the playoffs.

Also, Purdy had a down year individually. He played in 15 games, completing 65.9% of his pass attempts for 3,864 yards, 20 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions.

Back in 2023, he threw for 4,280 yards, 31 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions, while completing 69.4% of his passes in 16 games.
