San Francisco 49ers: Kyle Juszczyk Makes Strong Case For Christian McCaffrey as NFL’s Best

The San Francisco 49ers are a team on a mission in the 2025 NFL season. Widely considered among the top squads to beat in the 2025 campaign, they ended up winning just six games and missing the boat to the NFL playoffs, which becomes even more frustrating for their fans when considering the fact that San Francisco reached the Super Bowl a season before.

But those are all behind the Niners now. If they are to make a big splashy rebound in 2025, superstar running back Christian McCaffrey will have to be at his top form. McCaffrey is still a force to reckon with on the field, but health has been an issue for him lately. In 2024, McCaffrey missed the first eight games because of an Achilles injury and then came back only to suffer a knee injury in Week 13, causing him to miss the rest of the campaign.

Despite his health troubles, McCaffrey has the trust of his teammates, including fullback Kyle Juszczyk, who returns to the Niners on a two-year, $7.5 million contract.

Juszczyk makes big declaration about San Francisco 49ers’ McCaffrey

McCaffrey, who turned 29 years old in June, is getting his body ready for the 2025 season, and as far as Juszczyk is concerned, the former Stanford Cardinal star and three-time Pro Bowler remains among the top players in the league.

Christian is arguably the best player in the NFL,” Juszczyk said of McCaffrey, per Vic Tafur of The Athletic. “He was the offensive player of the year two years ago. He changes everything, and he looks incredible. He looks so healthy, he looks so explosive.”

It will be interesting to see just how effective McCaffrey will be in 2025 and whether he can stay healthy for an entire season for the 49ers, who averaged 22.9 points per game in 2024.
