San Francisco 49ers RB Christian McCaffrey Makes Admission Amid Injury History

The offseason workout program has begun for the San Francisco 49ers, and among those participating in it is none other than superstar running back Christian McCaffrey, who’s long history of injuries often leaves fans concerned about his outlook despite his immense reputation as one of the most dangerous offensive weapons in the NFL.

Nevertheless, McCaffrey’s body is in good shape, as he starts his offseason work with the team.

“I’m feeling great, said McCaffrey (h/t Nick Wagoner of ESPN). “It’s been such a smooth process, a lot of hard work. As soon as that injury happened in Buffalo, this was my goal to not miss a day of OTAs and be back ready to go with nothing hindering me and that’s where I’m at.”

“It went by pretty quickly but I got to a point pretty quickly in the offseason where I was training full speed ready to go.”

McCaffrey played in only four games in the 2024 NFL season, as he was placed on the injured reserve early in the campaign. But after just four games following his return,  the former Stanford Cardinal suffered a PCL injury that ended his season.

The former NFL Offensive Player of the Year recorded just 202 rushing yards and 146 receiving yards with zero touchdowns in 2024, but he will look to bounce back stronger in 2025, with San Francisco aiming to get back to the NFL playoffs.
