Bachelor Nation fan-favorite couple Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici Lowe famously found love and got married after Season 17 of “The Bachelor.”
Since their time on the show, they’ve welcomed three children into their family: Samuel, Isaiah, and Mia.
The couple just celebrated their 11-year wedding anniversary at the beginning of this year, and now Sean has taken to Instagram to share more about why their marriage is so strong.
In a new video posted online, he said, “Catherine and I started this thing called ‘Couch Convos’ and the idea was that two of us would be sitting on the couch and we’ll just talk about random things or questions that you guys have. But this week, Catherine is out of town. So I thought I would address probably the thing we hear most often, which is, ‘How in the world are you still married? You guys met on a TV show.’”
Sean then went on to answer that question and revealed that Catherine ultimately decided to move to Dallas to be with Sean after he proposed.
“I just want to talk about my wife,” he expressed. “Yes, I proposed after knowing her for only, like, 10 weeks. Didn’t even know her phone number. But she left Seattle, where her friends and family and her job were. And eventually came down here to Dallas, where my friends and family and job is. She sacrificed everything. So that’s the first thing.”
Sean then revealed that the real reason their marriage is so strong is because of Catherine and who she is as a person.
He said, “On top of that, we’ve been married 11 years now. My wife has committed for the past 11 years to try to be the best spouse possible for me. So today I just wanted to let you guys know the real reason our marriage is so strong and so great. First, it’s our faith. Our faith in the Lord is first and foremost. Second is my wife, and there’s not a close third.”
Sean ended the video by gushing over his wife and listing off all the qualities he loves about her.
“She has the biggest heart. She’s so caring, she’s so great with the kids, she’s so funny, and she’s so selfless,” he shared. “She is the most empathetic person I have ever known. I’m so incredibly grateful and I know I’m such a blessed man to be on the receiving end of that love and that great big heart of hers.”
We love Catherine and Sean’s love, and love hearing about their wonderful marriage. Cheers to many, many more years together!
