Serena Williams opens up about her mental health: I go to therapy all the time

Williams is one of the most recognizable female athletes ever

Serena Williams is undoubtedly one of the greatest athletes of all time, but her impact goes far beyond the tennis court.

The legendary tennis player has built a multifaceted career, embracing passions for fashion, beauty, and mental wellness, all while maintaining an infectious, down-to-earth personality. From her successful fashion line, S by Serena, to her foray into makeup artistry and collaborations with Nike, Serena's diverse interests continue to captivate her fans around the world.

In a recent Allure magazine interview, Serena played a fun game of "buy, save, or delete," revealing some of her personal beauty preferences.

Starting with nails, Serena made her choices clear.

"Delete French tip, save fun design, and I'm going to buy a nude nail," she declared.

"Straight hair delete, braids save, curls buy."

Serena's signature braids and voluminous curls have been iconic throughout her career, often turning heads both on and off the court.

Mental Wellness and entrepreneurship: Serena's holistic approach to life

In the Allure interview, Serena also touched on her mental wellness routine.

"Delete journaling, because I just don't have time. I'm buying therapy because I stay in therapy, like all the time. I will save meditation," she shared.

Serena has been open about her experiences with postpartum depression, using her platform to advocate for mental health awareness and the importance of seeking support.

Her entrepreneurial journey is just as impressive. Serena created Wyn Beauty, a brand born out of her own needs as an athlete and a woman of color. Recalling her inspiration, Serena shared an eye-opening moment during a Wimbledon locker room experience, where she mixed sunscreen with foundation and realized there was a lack of products that could meet her needs during intense matches.

Wyn Beauty, now celebrating its first birthday, embodies her commitment to inclusivity and practical beauty solutions.

Serena Williams has shown that she is much more than a tennis champion.

With her diverse passions for fashion, beauty, and mental wellness, she continues to inspire fans with her authenticity and drive.

Whether she's winning titles, creating innovative beauty products, or advocating for mental health, Serena proves that greatness isn't limited to just one arena. Her journey is a testament to the power of embracing many interests and living a fully empowered life.
