Serena Williams, the 23-time Grand Slam champion and tennis legend, has made a triumphant return to the court on, sharing footage on social media after taking to Instagram with a collection of photos showcasing her body transformation.

On Friday, Williams shared a video of herself skillfully returning volleys, something she hasn't done in a while, all set to the upbeat tune of 'Still D. R.E.' playing in the background. It comes after her priority was clear as Wimbledon recently took place without her.

The previous day, the former American tennis sensation posted snapshots of herself striking poses on a yacht, wearing a stunning two-piece blue bikini. "Me and my girls... are out in the streets tonight. But we [are] starting here," she captioned the post.

In a recent conversation with Women's Health, Williams discussed the significance of physical fitness in her everyday life. "Fitness will always be a part of my life," she confessed.

"My whole life has been fitness, so it's weird now that I'm not necessarily playing professional sport. It's still a huge part of my life. I think I view it the same. I try to be fit. I think the older you get, the more muscle you want-I know I do. Living a healthy life is so important for me."

Williams' current lifestyle is a far cry from her days as a professional player, a career that spanned over 20 years and saw her nearly clinching Grand Slams across four different decades. She hasn't competed since the 2022 US Open, where she was defeated in the third round.

Her six career US Open victories put her on par with Chris Evert for the most wins in history. Women's Health probed further with a query about body image, particularly in the context of Williams' two kids

."I've always been someone that felt like you have to just love who you are, and I've always felt that way," she responded.

"I just try to be the best person I can be, and that's all I try to do. And for my kids to see that-that's it. I don't try to be anything different."
