Shedeur Sanders Passed On By Browns For Jaxson Dart Won’t Be A Surprise

Shedeur Sanders might be passed on by the New York Giants for Jaxson Dart according to ESPN sportscaster, Pete Schrager. On Tuesday, Schrager discussed the same topic on ‘Get Up’, remarking that the Giants are looking for a fourth quarterback, which could actually be Jaxson Dart and not Sanders.

Both Sanders and Dart are hailed as mighty prospects in the upcoming 2025 NFL draft, which is but a few hours away. While his stats are pretty fine, Sanders has numerous criticisms against him, not only in regards to his character but also his on-field performance, especially his throwing. As a result of these criticisms, Sanders’ draft stock has been continuously plummeting for some time.

“They’ve done as much work and have been in the building in Ole Miss as much as they have, for Shedeur Sanders, furthermore, Joe Schein has a kid at Ole Miss. So, he’s been there and around that program plenty. Eli Manning has the Ole Miss connection. …. So, if they take him over Shedeur Sanders, it’s not just them throwing pun intended ‘a dart’ at the wall. It’s because they’ve done just as much work on that player as they have on Shedeur.” Pete Schrager said on ‘Get Up’ on ESPN this Tuesday.

The New York Giants already have veteran Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston on their roster. Along with Tommy DeVito, the team hopes to add another young quarterback to learn the ropes from the seniors in the team. As a result, the Giants are fluttering between top names in the draft like Shedeur Sanders and Jaxson Dart.

Shedeur Sanders Eager To Play For Pittsburgh Steelers

While several teams have been hungrily scouting Shedeur Sanders to join their rosters for the upcoming season, the young quarterback seems to be rigid about playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers in the next season. Sanders was asked about the top four quarterbacks and receiver duos by Maxx Crosby in a recent interview, and the player had an interesting answer.

After tossing up a few legendary combos like Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski, Sanders also threw his name into the mix and added George Pickens as his receiver. Sanders did not directly mention his name, but referred to himself as ‘whoever is throwing the ball to DK Metcalf’. Metcalf is, of course, the wide receiver for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Pittsburgh Steelers will be eager to bring in a major talent like Shedeur Sanders, hopefully to improve their record from the previous season. In the 2024 NFL season, the Steelers only made it to the Wild Card Round to play against the Baltimore Ravens, but lost 28-14.
