The transition from college football to the NFL is not an easy one.

This sentiment may ring even more true for a player like former Colorado safety Shilo Sanders, who is fighting for a roster spot after being picked up by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent.

The former three-star recruit who also had stops at South Carolina and Jackson State is looking to prove there is more to his game than his willingness to lay his body on the line and deliver punishing blows.

Although he hasn't actually faced an opposing team just yet, Sanders may have already experienced his "welcome to the NFL" moment.

While streaming on Twitch, Sanders was asked by a viewer to name the toughest receiver he has practiced against. The fan may have been hoping for an under-the-radar name, but Sanders was almost taken aback by the question, as he felt the answer was obvious.

"Bro, y’all know Mike Evans over there, right? Y’all know we practice against Mike Evans every day,” quipped Sanders.

The 6-foot-5 Evans is a matchup nightmare for defensive backs everywhere, as he frequently pushes around smaller defensive backs and can also be elusive when needed.

For Sanders, being able to go up against a two-time All-Pro who has racked up 11 consecutive 1,000-yard seasons, it may only strengthen his coverage abilities.

Assuming Sanders isn't cut before the preseason, he and the Bucs will be taking on the Tennessee Titans on Aug. 9, as he may have a chance to go up against this year's No. 1 overall pick, Cam Ward.

Until then, he will keep honing his craft against one of the best wide receivers in the league.
