It's time to start the 2025 offseason for the Detroit Lions.

And they have about two dozen pending unrestricted free agents set to hit the market March 12 when the new NFL year officially begins.

QB Teddy Bridgewater

Age: 32.

Buzz: Signed in late December after coaching his alma mater to a high school football championship; played one series in playoff loss to Commanders.

WR Tim Patrick

Age: 31.

Buzz: Played 16 games after missing consecutive seasons; 33 catches for 394 yards and three TDs as the No. 3 wideout.

OG Kevin Zeitler

Age: 35.

Buzz: Started 16 games at right guard, but hamstring injury caused him to miss playoff game.

OT Dan Skipper

Age: 31.

Buzz: The NFL's "most popular scrub" scored a big-man touchdown and played plenty of snaps as the third tackle.

DT Levi Onwuzurike

Age: 27

Buzz: Identified before the season by teammates as primed for a breakout, he finally stayed healthy, playing in 16 games and collecting 28 tackles with 1½ sacks and career-best 13 QB hits. Second-round pick in 2021, Holmes' first draft.

DT Kyle Peko

Age: 32.

Buzz: Played in five games (25% defensive snaps) as a veteran rotational tackle with two tackles before suffering a season-ending torn pectoral muscle at Dallas.

DE Marcus Davenport

Age: 29.

Buzz: Free-agent signing to add pass rush, but again fell victim to injury, playing in two games. Former first-round pick of New Orleans when Campbell was an assistant.

DE Pat O'Connor

Age: 31.

Buzz: The former Eastern Michigan standout played in 12 games, contributing 18 tackles and a sack and stepping up at times, particularly in the Thursday night win against Green Bay. Suffered calf injury late in the season and missed playoff loss.

DE Al-Quadin Muhammad

Age: 30.

Buzz: Another defender signed during the season who then played a big role, appearing in nine games and recording three sacks. Played 255 defensive snaps (43%) during the games he was active.

DE John Cominsky

Age: 29.

Buzz: Helpful rotation player in the past but missed the season after suffering a knee injury in July. Played in 30 games between 2022-23, with 66 tackles, six sacks and 20 QB hits.

LB Derrick Barnes

Age: 26.

Buzz: Suffered season-ending knee injury in Week 3 after being off to the best start of his four-year career. Fourth-round pick in Holmes' first draft who had the game-clinching interception against Tampa Bay in last season's playoffs.

LB Ezekiel Turner

Age: 29.

Buzz: Signed in early November and made 12 tackles with three QB hits and a half-sack. Played 111 snaps on defense (20%) during nine games, and was a core special teams player (72%).

LB Ben Niemann

Age: 30.

Buzz: Played in 17 games, making four starts and collecting 25 tackles with one fumble recovered and one pass defensed. Played 179 snaps on defense (16%) and 64% of snaps on special teams.

CB Carlton Davis III

Age: 28.

Buzz: Davis is arguably the team's most important pending free agent, after being acquired last March from Tampa Bay for a third-round pick. Played in 13 games with two interceptions and 11 passes defensed, and made 56 tackles. Spent the final weeks on injured reserve with a fractured jaw.

CB Khalil Dorsey

Age: 27.

Buzz: Another defender who suffered a season-ending leg injury late in December — breaking the same two bones in his right leg as Aidan Hutchinson. Played in 14 games with 14 tackles and two passes defensed, but only played 73 defensive snaps (8%). Played 71% of special teams snaps.

CB Kindle Vildor

Age: 27

Buzz: Played in 17 games, pressed into further action when Davis and Dorsey went down. Vildor had 16 tackles and three passes defensed, playing 22% of defensive snaps (244) and 48% on special teams.

CB Emmanuel Moseley

Age: 29.

Buzz: Has played in three games combined over two seasons with the Lions due to injuries. Placed on the reserve/non-football illness (NFI) list Jan. 4.

Age: 26

Buzz: Third-round pick in 2021 who only returned to the lineup late in the season. Played key rotational role in 2023, appearing in 17 games with 33 tackles, three sacks, eight passes defensed and two interceptions. Played 137 snaps in three starts (71%) this season.
