Steelers just dropped the first Aaron Rodgers hype video (and it's pretty sick)

Maybe this whole thing works. Maybe Aaron Rodgers comes to Pittsburgh and it works. Maybe all the baggage disappears, and he meshes immediately with Mike Tomlin, and he rediscovers his youth, and he helps the Steelers win a division title. It's entirely possible.

Steelers just dropped the first Aaron Rodgers hype video (and it's pretty sick)

And then, when next year's over and the parade's finished, maybe he doesn't leave the Steelers in a wake of gossipy distraction and pointless drama. It hasn't worked like that for literally either of the two other team's Rodgers has played for, but it might work for Pittsburgh.

In the small chance that it doesn't work for Pittsburgh, though, we'll all spend next summer thinking about the better times – the times before the sideline glares and the Pat McAfee interviews and the weird cryptic riddles that never get resolved. One of those times is going to be this very exact moment: the day that the Steelers released The Aaron Rodgers Hype Video. Watch it in all its splendor, and let yourself really be in the next forty seconds.

Fine, I'll admit it: the Steelers' Aaron Rodgers hype video is kind of cool

This is The Good Stuff. Everything's there: the talking head audio; the in-play jersey switch; the credentials overlayed on a slowmo Rodgers smile. It's got it all. And the best part about this video? It hasn't aged terribly yet. And I'm not saying it's going to, but, you know. There's a chance.

None of that's our problem now, though. That's a problem for, like, November at the earliest. Maybe October if things really go sideways. But right now, on this beautiful warm summer day, the Steelers' Aaron Rodgers hype video is still relevant. Right now it's not being used ironically. Right now, it's still exciting. Right now, we'll live forever.
