Najee Harris led the charge with his first 100-yard game of the season as the Pittsburgh Steelers rolled past the Las Vegas Raiders 32-13.
The Pittsburgh Steelers secured a convincing 32-13 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 6, powered by their most productive rushing performance of the season.
Running back Najee Harris, who has expressed frustration with the team’s struggles on the ground, finally broke through with a season-high 106 rushing yards.
Pittsburgh’s offense quickly found its rhythm just before halftime. On their final drive of the first half, the Steelers took the lead 12-7, thanks to a touchdown drive capped by a failed 2-point conversion attempt. Despite the misstep, Pittsburgh maintained control for the rest of the game.
Najee Harris, who had been waiting for a breakout performance, delivered in a big way. The former first-round pick carried the ball 14 times for 106 yards and added two receptions for 16 yards.
His performance marked his first 100-yard rushing game since Week 16 of his rookie season when he rushed for 188 yards against the Cleveland Browns. Harris’ impact was felt throughout the game, providing balance to an offense that had struggled to find consistency on the ground earlier in the season.
Pittsburgh’s defense was equally impressive, led by T.J. Watt they forced two fumbles and picked off Raiders quarterback passes to stifle the Raiders’ offensive efforts.
The Steelers' defense held Las Vegas to just 57 rushing yards and limited their effectiveness on third downs, with the Raiders converting just 2 of 11 attempts.
The Steelers now sit at 4-2 and shift their focus to their Week 7 matchup against the New York Jets. With the Jets set to face the Buffalo Bills on Monday night, the Steelers will have a chance to analyze their next opponent with a free film session.
