Steelers' TJ Watt Makes Massive Announcement

The Pittsburgh Steelers are hoping to finally have a celebration in February for the first time since 2009. They are gearing up for a crucial season that could dictate their short-term future, especially with the quarterback situation. TJ Watt is also looking forward to 2025. He has yet to win a playoff game in his career, and he hopes to change that sooner rather than later. However, no matter what happens in the upcoming season, Watt at least knows that he will already have some form of celebration happening early in the new year.

Watt went to Instagram to talk about what kind of celebration that he will be having in 2025. While he hopes to have a Super Bowl by then, he will still end the season with something to cherish.

Watt and his wife, Dani Watt, are officially expecting a baby in February of 2025. Him and his oldest brother, JJ Watt, have jokingly argued over who the better uncle is for Derek Watt's kids. Instead of fighting for his brother / former teammate's children, TJ Watt will be starting his own family. JJ Watt can show how good of an uncle he truly is by helping his youngest brother with taking care of his child, and maybe more in the future.

Would Steelers’ Watt Miss The Super Bowl For His First Baby?

Watt did not announce an exact date, as that is still to be determined. If the birth happens during the first week of February, he likely won't have a problem skipping out on the Pro Bowl, like numerous players do each year. Nearly every player in the league would most likely pass up the flag football exhibition to be at the hospital with their wives. That means so much more than an extra five-figure check for a boring game.

However, the Super Bowl is much different. Who knows if you will ever get a chance to play in it again? Every player dreams of holding up the Lombardi Trophy with their brothers in arms. Watt is no different, and he obviously wants to contribute enough to win a seventh Super Bowl for the Steelers. Would he pass up that opportunity and stay with his wife? If he did, it would be completely understandable, but it likely wouldn't be a very easy decision for him.

The best-case scenario is that the baby comes late in the month, so Watt can play in the big game (if the Steelers hopefully make it), then can celebrate in the hospital room with his loving wife. Whether that happens or not is to be determined, but if it does, it might be the best month of his life. No matter what happens, we hope for the best for Watt, his wife, and their future child. Congratulations on the new addition to the family.
