Tamra Judge burst into tears after her best friend Teddi Mellencamp shared a positive update on her stage 4 cancer battle.
In Wednesday’s episode of their “Two Ts in a Pod” podcast, the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum called in from a doctor’s appointment, where she was receiving immunotherapy treatment.
“I understand you have an update for us. You just had a scan done?” the “Real Housewives of Orange County” star asked her pal.
Mellencamp replied, “I do. I have an update. So, in exciting news, last time they had checked solely my brain, and those tumors are shrinking.
“And then today I had the scan where they checked my lungs, and they are shrinking, and one of them has shrunk so much you can barely even see it.”
When the former Bravolebrity, 43, asked her doctor whether she was cancer-free, he told her no but said “everything’s just heading the correct way.”
After the podcast chat, Mellencamp took to Instagram to tell her 1.2 million followers that she had some “good news” about her latest scans.
In the comments section of the post, Judge, 57, wrote, “I can’t stop crying tears of joy. I love you so much ❤️.”
Mellencamp, who was diagnosed with skin cancer in October 2022, announced via Instagram in February that doctors found “multiple tumors” on her brain and had to perform surgery to remove some of them.
However, the former reality star revealed last month that she had stage 4 cancer after doctors found even more tumors on her brain.
She subsequently shared that she had a “50/50” chance of beating the disease.
By the end of April, though, Mellencamp gave an “exciting” update about her prognosis, saying her tumors had “significantly shrunk.”
Since undergoing surgery, the daughter of rocker John Mellencamp has proudly shown off her scars and buzz cut. However, on “crying days,” she chooses to wear a wig.
