The Bachelor alum Caila Quinn has reacted to claims her husband Nick Burrello cheated on her and had a months-long emotional affair with a trans woman.
Caila and Nick got married in 2021 and share two children: Teddi, now 2, and Christian, 7 months.
While Caila, a social-media influencer, portrays the image of having a perfect family, her husband may be living a double life.
A 22-year-old self-described "trans girl" recently posted "receipts" on Reddit of her alleged secret text messages with Nick that went on for months, including a brief "verification video" of Nick -- who apparently used the alias Mike M. -- standing in a dark green room that resembles one in Caila's house.
The woman's alleged screenshots appear to show Nick inviting her to meet up with him during a business trip and expressing guilt over going behind his wife's back.
TikTok user @wellnessgurl posted a video recapping these shocking Reddit allegations that Nick "has been cheating on" Caila "for months" -- and with a couple of different people.
"In the text threads, Nick also admits this is not the first time he's cheated on Caila," @wellnessgurl said.
Caila reacted to the cheating claims by commenting on the TikTok video.
"WTF is this..." Caila wrote on Wednesday, April 16 alongside a laughing emoji.
"This isn't true. And my husband doesn't go on business trips. This is a joke. No one believe these rumors. This is FALSE."
The video's creator, however, completely stood by what she had seen, read and reported.
"So sorry girl," @wellnessgurl replied to Caila's comment. "You should look into the [Reddit] post -- it has pictures, texts and videos."
Caila also wrote to a fan how she didn't want these accusations to gain traction because they could hurt her children.
Caila proceeded to put on a brave face and post sweet photos of her children celebrating Easter via social media, but Nick wasn't in any of the footage.
The trans girl had titled her lengthy Reddit post "My Online Affair with Nick" in which she claimed they had met on Grindr. The woman said Nick pursued her and would often text her at night when his wife thought he was working or at the office.
"It seemed clear to me that he was enjoying the thrill of the affair. The connection grew over the months and the chats because more emotionally charged," the woman wrote.
She added, "We were planning to meet during one of his work trips to NYC, where I live. I had every reason to believe that if it weren't for the distance, we would've taken things further."
The woman claimed Nick was "highly secretive about his identity" and never used his real name in fear he may get caught; however, she discovered his real name by using facial recognition.
"This man has compartmentalized his life to a disturbing degree, even saying some pretty backhanded things about his wife and how she can't satisfy him... Eventually, I took it upon myself to do the right thing and tell Caila the truth," the woman wrote.
"I reached out to her directly via Insta DM, detailing everything and making it clear I have proof of everything... I was met with a quick block... She definitely doesn't want her followers to know the truth."
In terms of why the woman decided to come clean, she claimed Nick had given her "false hope for months" that they could be together and have "something real."
The woman took accountability for participating in an affair with a married man, but she elaborated, "I couldn't sit back and watch him play Mr. Perfect Husband while fooling around in the most demented way."
The woman proceeded to post alleged evidence of her interactions with Nick stemming from February 18 to April 7, when Caila allegedly blocked her on Instagram.
In one of the screenshots, Nick allegedly sent a picture of the Thai green curry dinner his wife had made him, and eagle-eyed fans noticed the bowl and the island are from Caila's kitchen.
The woman apparently wrote to Nick of his wife, "Sometimes turning a blind eye to a husband's indiscretions can help maintain the stability of a marriage."
And Nick allegedly responded, "Maybe she does and I don't know it?... Though honestly I really haven't cheated frequently."
By allegedly saying he didn't cheat "frequently," Nick naturally implied that he had cheated on Caila in the past.
The texts were also loaded with Nick allegedly calling the woman "baby" and saying things such as, "As long as we meet and I get to kiss you."
Nick also allegedly wrote, "I adore our connection... I really really like you, like too much," but then he'd explain how he didn't want to give too much information away because it could get him into "major trouble" with his wife.
The "receipts" conclude with Nick allegedly telling the woman he couldn't continue their affair because he didn't want to lose his wife or be a bad person.
Caila and Nick were set up by a mutual friend and went public with their relationship in October 2017 after Nick met her parents, which was well over a year after Caila had appeared on Ben Higgins' season of The Bachelor.
On The Bachelor's 20th season, Ben had eliminated Caila right after his round of overnight Fantasy Suite dates in favor of eventual runner-up JoJo Fletcher and winner Lauren Bushnell, from whom he split in May 2017.
Caila, who was 24-years-old at the time Ben broke up with her, was blindsided, crushed and sent home before a Rose Ceremony in Jamaica.
"I thought I'd be getting engaged in a week-and-a-half. I was ready to get married. I was ready to be his wife," Caila said in tears following her ouster.
"I was ready. I was ready for our future. It's all I thought about. My purpose in life is to love other people and I don't know why I haven't found it yet. I thought this was it. I thought this was it. I was ready. I didn't see this coming. I love him, too. Like, I still love him."
That same year, Caila appeared on Season 3 of Bachelor in Paradise and left the show still dating Jared Haibon.
Caila even met Jared's family in Rhode Island, but she revealed during an August 2016 episode of After Paradise that "mystical forces" contributed to their split.
Jared's tight friendship with Ashley Iaconetti, who appeared jealous and possessive of her longtime crush, seemed to be the reason behind his split with Caila about six weeks after filming wrapped.
Jared and Ashley reconciled in May 2018 after remaining friends for years and tied the knot in August 2019. They now have two children together.
Although Caila didn't find love on The Bachelor franchise, she told Us Weekly in 2021 that her experience on reality TV placed her on a path that eventually led to her meeting Nick.
"I feel really lucky because I feel like I wasn't meant to go on the show to find love there," explained Caila, who had moved from Ohio to New York after her The Bachelor stint.
"I was meant to go on the show to find Nick. If I wasn't on the show, I wouldn't ever have met him because I would never have been a blogger and that's who introduced us and set us up on our first date. So, I think everything happens for a reason and I thank God every day."
