The Bachelor’s Joey Graziadei & Kelsey Anderson Face Major Disagreement About Televising Their Nuptials Amid Big Step In The Wedding Planning Journey

The Bachelor season 28's Joey Graziadei and Kelsey Anderson met with a wedding planner to help them start the process of moving towards setting a date, but they disagree about whether their nuptials should be televised. Joey and Kelsey got engaged on November 12, 2023, but they've put wedding planning on the backburner as they've gotten to know each other better after the fast timeline of The Bachelor season 28. In addition, Joey and Kelsey were in a long-distance relationship after Joey won Dancing With The Stars season 33 last fall and later traveled with the DWTS Live 2025 tour.

Joey Graziadei, Kelsey Anderson 'in the Process' of Wedding Planning | Life & Style

Joey and Kelsey revealed their thoughts about having a televised wedding, and, while Joey is open to it, Kelsey seems opposed.

In an interview with SwooonJoey and Kelsey revealed their thoughts about having a televised wedding, and, while Joey is open to it, Kelsey seems opposed. Joey explained, "We haven’t gotten that far into the conversation yet. If there’s a world where someone wants that to happen, we will take the meeting. We will talk about it."

Joey added that he and Kelsey want to make their own choices about their wedding. He said, "For right now, like I said, the thought process is, how do we want our day to look? And then if someone else wants to try to have some insight on it, we’re always open to talk, but we haven’t really gotten to that part." However, Kelsey interjected that "it would be a lot" to have a televised wedding.

Although Kelsey seemed opposed to the idea of a televised wedding, Joey thought that they should keep their options open. He stated, "[It] might add a little extra stress, but again, you just never know. That’s something that’s down the road, and all we can do right now is focus on what we want to do, and if that comes along and that makes sense, and it aligns, then we might be open to it."

What Joey & Kelsey’s Wedding Disagreement Means

Joey & Kelsey Need To Have Some Important Discussions

It seems that Joey and Kelsey aren't on the same page about having a televised wedding based on how Kelsey didn't seem to be on board with it. However, Joey seems to want it, which means that they're going to have to sit down for some very important discussions. While one benefit to a televised wedding is that ABC will pay for it, the downside is that there's absolutely no privacy. In addition, Joey and Kelsey might have to give up control of the details of their wedding. Hopefully, this disagreement won't cause problems in their relationship.

Our Take On Joey & Kelsey Disagreeing Over Televised Wedding

Joey & Kelsey Should Skip The Televised Nuptials

Although Joey is keeping his options open, I agree with Kelsey that having a televised wedding is too much. If Kelsey doesn't want to walk down the aisle on TV, then they definitely shouldn't do it. Joey and Kelsey have gone through their whole relationship in the public eye from literally the moment they met, and I believe that they should keep their wedding private.

When The Golden Bachelor's Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist got married during the Golden Wedding, it became an extravaganza that was less about them and more about getting ratings for the network. Although other Bachelor Nation couples have exchanged vows on TV as well and had successful marriages, I think that it's a really bad idea for The Bachelor stars, especially if Kelsey is already hesitant. When Joey and Kelsey get married, their special day should be about them and not about the public spectacle.
