I don't trust one particular Bachelor In Paradise season 10 cast member, as I'm not sure that they're on the series for the right reasons. After seeing how Sam McKinney treated Jenn Tran on The Bachelorette, I'm glad he was sent home in week one.
When Sam found himself in a love triangle on Bachelor In Paradise season 10 with Jess Edwards and Spencer Conley, I was nervous. I was concerned that Sam would stay on the show even though he wasn't as deserving as other Bachelor In Paradise cast members. Luckily, my fear didn't come to fruition. Sam was rightfully sent home.
Sam Wasn't On The Bachelorette For The Right Reasons
Did He Just Want Fame?
While Jenn's season of The Bachelorette was filled with villains, including the man she ultimately proposed to, Sam stood out from the rest. He notably pressured Jenn into jumping off of an extremely tall building despite her fear of heights. Plus, Sam bullied the other cast members and kept using his annoying catchphrase, "keep the main thing the main thing."
If Sam was genuinely interested in Jenn, he went about it the wrong way, relying on their physical connection to get him through the season rather than getting to know Jenn as a person. Ultimately, Jenn figured out Sam's game. He didn't know anything about her, and the things he said he liked about her were superficial and vague. I didn't have high hopes for his return to Bachelor Nation.
I Want Him To Find Love
The first elimination on Bachelor In Paradise season 10 came down Jess's decision. Did she want to give her rose to Spencer or Sam? Personally, I was rooting for Spencer.
Spencer was also a cast member on The Bachelorette season 21, but his journey was far more genuine than Sam's. Spencer was never the front-runner to win the show, but his elimination broke my heart nonetheless. Specifically, I felt for Spencer while watching him cry and call his mom to tell her the bad news. Spencer deserves to find love, and Bachelor In Paradise might be his chance.
Jess Was Right To Choose Spencer
They Could Have A Lasting Relationship
Jess chose Spencer over Sam, and I couldn't be happier. I don't think Sam is truly ready to find love, and I don't want him wasting anyone's time in Costa Rica. I also think Jess and Spencer have really great chemistry that could make for a lasting, long-term relationship.
Jess made the right decision when she indirectly sent Sam home.
