The Last Of Us season two first look: Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey are both seen... after fans expressed how unhappy they were with her casting

HBO has shared a first look at the highly anticipated second season of their post-apocalyptic hit, The Last of Us.

The show's leads Pedro Pascal, who plays Joel, and Bella Ramsey, who plays Ellie, are shown in two different scenes from the upcoming season.

While most fans are excited for another installment of the video game adaptation, many fans complained that Ramsey, 20, still looks 'too young' to play Ellie.

Season two of The Last of Us is based on the second game in the series, in which Ellie is supposed to be 19 years old. 

'Ellie's age didn't change should've re-casted an older actress,' commented one.

'Ellie looks like a f***ing 14 year old still,' said another, while one wrote, 'I just feel like this isn't the right cast for Joel and Ellie.'

It comes after Ramsey has revealed she was the victim of 'painful' trolling about her looks after first being cast in the smash hit show.

The non-binary actor admitted to GQ last year that she was taunted by 'everyone' online for her 'square head'.

'You're looking for a comment that's more painful than the last one, I'd kid myself that I was doing it in jest,' she explained. 

'I wish I could say that I was confident enough [already] that it hasn't affected me in any way, but it has.'

The actor said that despite the trolling, she's proud of the work she's done on the post apocalyptic series.

'I'm just glad I could do that for them and for the show and for Ellie. I want to do her justice.'

The show was a huge hit for HBO last year, earning rave reviews from fans and critics alike.
