Mickey Haller’s cases always have a personal connection, but this next one in The Lincoln Lawyer Season 4 is more than personal.

The Lincoln Lawyer' Season 4: Everything We Know So Far

The upcoming season of the legal drama series finds LA’s hottest lawyer dealing with some legal heat following a bizarre turn of events in Season 3.

Season 4 is based on Michael Connelly’s sixth book in the series, The Lincoln Lawyer: The Law of Innocence, from which the show is adapted.

The season is Haller’s most personal case yet.

His life and reputation are on the line following the discovery of a dead body in the trunk of his car.

For viewers, it appears like a frame job, but for the police, they have him dead to rights. Not only do they want to catch a killer, but they also want to neutralize the legal threat that has cost them many cases.

“This is going to be the biggest and most personal challenge Mickey has ever faced, and also the biggest roller coaster we’ve yet taken our audience on.

“And of course, our other characters will be dealing not only with Mickey’s case but with a slew of challenges they’re facing as well,” co-showrunner Ted Humphrey told TUDUM.

Who Is In the Cast of Season 4?

Most of the cast members from The Lincoln Lawyer Season 3 who survived jail or death will return for the fourth season.

Main Cast

Manuel Garcia-Rulfo is back behind the wheel again as Mickey Haller.

I mean, he must be there because he is the counsel and defendant. What a tough position to be in!

Mickey is all smiles during The Lincoln Lawyer Season 3.

Becki Newton returns as Lorna, one of Mickey’s ex-wives and current legal partners – although Mickey doesn’t regard her as his equal.

With so much pressure on Mickey, he will need to trust her if he is to survive what’s coming for him.

Jazz Raycole, Angus Sampson, Elliott Gould, and Krista Warner return as Izzy, Cisco, Legal, and Hayley Haller.

After a reduced role in Season 3, Neve Campbell returns as a series regular for Season 4.

She will appear in all ten episodes, hinting that Maggie might be involved in Mickey’s defense.

Guest Stars

Constance Zimmer as Renée

There are also some new faces, many of whom bring fresh hell into Mickey’s life.

Constance Zimmer’s acting prowess was recruited for Season 4, playing a pivotal role in the show, apart from the accused, as the prosecutor.

She plays Dana Berg, a feared prosecutor who worked with Maggie during her tenure in the LA DA’s office.

Dana’s nickname, “Death Row Dana,” strikes fear in the hearts of suspects, defense attorneys, and everyone on the opposing side.

Sasha Alexander and Jason Butler Harner play law enforcement officers.

Alexander is Agent Dawn Ruth, while Butler Harner is Detective Drucker.

These characters add more pressure to Mickey as they set out to nail him to the cross.

Meanwhile, some other faces will drop in occasionally.

Maggie returns with a new boyfriend, Jack Gilroy, played by Jason O’Mara.

Kyle Richards and Emanuelle Chriqui play Celeste Baker and Jeanine Fargo, respectively.

Celeste is a new client who seeks Lorna’s representation in her divorce proceedings.

Jeanine could be instrumental to Mickey’s defense. Being the girlfriend of a local gangster, she learns crucial information that could make or break Mickey’s case.

Will Yaya DaCosta Be In The Lincoln Lawyer Season 4?

Yaya DaCosta stole the show in Season 2 as Andrea Freeman, the season’s prosecutor who gave Mickey a run for his money in the Lisa Trammell case.

She returned for a limited role in Season 3.

However, she won’t be back for Season 4. DaCosta talked to TV Insider about the departure, saying,

“It was not expected. It was not explained. Sometimes, when things like this happen, the writers will give an explanation in a conversation between two characters who are on the show.

“Or someone will make a phone call and pretend the disappeared character is on the other end. Who knows what they’ll do? I’m just focusing on the now and future.”
