The rule that could give Mike Tyson the edge over Jake Paul

On November 15, one of the fights that will make professional boxing history is just around the corner.

Mike Tyson to Return to Boxing for Live Match Against Jake Paul

Mike Tyson's recovery seems to be going from strength to strength, while Jake Paul is anxiously awaiting him and rubbing his hands with the possibility of defeating the boxing legend in a sold-out stadium.

The fight and its rules

Last May, the rules of the Tyson-Paul bout were announced and Mike finally got his way when the professional boxing match regulated by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation was finalized. It will be a heavyweight bout, even though Paul belongs to the cruiserweight, with eight rounds of two minutes each.

It is precisely here where the double world champion Timothy Bradley believes that Tyson has an advantage over Paul since Tyson could take advantage of his explosiveness in the first short rounds to knock out the young YouTuber: "I think Tyson is going to knock him out fast. At first I didn't think so but when I saw the rules there was no doubt in my mind.

"By knockout, I'm sure it will be by knockout. It's only two minutes instead of three. There is no doubt in my mind. Think about it, he's going to come out like a whirlwind, like he always has; he's going to corner him, he's going to close him off with his body and he's going to take him out. He's got everything in his favor to knock Paul out of the game at the drop of a hat. You know that power is the last thing to go and Tyson has everything in his favor in two minutes", said the double champion.

Tomorrow, August 18, will be the first time the two will meet after the postponement of their bout and sparks are sure to fly just three months before the fight. New York, within the Fanatics Fest, will witness one of the most important events of the year in this sport.

The slightly shorter format, designed to match the age and fitness difference, will determine the final outcome of the bout. Tyson has lost the cardio he had in his prime but with just one accurate punch he can knock Paul out. He hasn't lost his hand speed, judging by the training videos he has recently posted on social media.
