The Valley stars Nia Sanchez and Daniel Booko clapped back at ex-friend Jax Taylor after he seemingly shaded their marriage. Daniel claimed Jax was trying to “stir the pot,” and he accused him of “blatant lies.” He also said his co-star was “not a friend.”
Earlier this year, Jax challenged a fan who claimed Nia and Daniel were the ‘cutest couple’ on TV. Jax said fans will “see” how the post “ages.” He later suggested that Daniel was kicked out of his bar multiple times and that viewers didn’t see everything that Daniel did during the season.
On Nia’s Hold My Crown podcast, she and Daniel shared how they feel as season two approaches.
“I am excited and apprehensive,” she said. “I know there’s some of the guys you get along with, but then I feel like there’s some guys that haven’t been as like quality friends for you. And that makes me apprehensive. Because I’m like, if we cut back a year and a half ago, great friendships. And then now it feels a little bit different, on the guys’ side. For the girls’ side, I actually feel closer.”
She then asked Daniel if they were even going to film again.
“I don’t know,” he answered. “I think we are.”
“We have a meeting coming up soon,” Nia added.
According to Daniel, he “thought” Jax was his “closest friend” in the group before Jax “tr[ied] to stir stuff up and insinuate things that aren’t true and try to stir the pot, which he thinks is for the show, but you know, doing blatant lies. It’s hurtful, and friends just don’t do that … I would like to have that conversation. That may happen on season two. But I hope [it happens] before.”
“I don’t like what he’s doing and putting out there,” he added. “No, it ain’t cool. And [it’s] not just me. Like about our marriage … That’s not a friend.”
“Bye Felicia,” said Nia. “I don’t have time for that.”
The Valley is expected to begin filming the second season this summer.
