The Bravo curse is well known amongst fans and Bravolebrities alike. Basically, if you decide to star on Bravo, your relationship is doomed. The Valley stars Janet and Jason Caperna are aware of that fact and are working to avoid that very scenario. They’ve only had one season so far, and already several couples have split. Will Janet and Jason be next? Not if they have something to do about it.
Janet and Jason “check in with each other” to ensure everything is going good
The first season of The Valley was a huge hit. Vanderpump Rules alums Jax Taylor, Brittany Cartwright, and Kristen Doute were the main anchors of the show which focused on various couples who are friends that live in the valley. Fans were already aware of Jax and Brittany’s troubles. And nothing much had changed, except now they had a child. Their relationship was hanging by a thread all season, until the very end when Brittany decided to separate.
Another couple that had troubles was Michelle and Jesse Lally. In almost every scene, Michelle looked like she couldn’t even be in the same room as Jesse. The magic was gone, and they were divorced after the season wrapped. However, they are both in a better place now with new partners they care about.

Still, Janet wanted no part of that turmoil for her own relationship. US Weekly reported Janet’s plan to avoid a similar fate. Janet said, “I think it’d be crazy not to look at everything and be like, ‘Oh, is this good?’ But Jason and I check in with each other, and I think — I hope — we will see more of our relationship [next season].”
And speaking of next season, Janet shared an update on what to expect. It’s still going to be “spicy” but “different.” She added, “It’s kind of a shake-up with the breakups and things like that. I think you’re going to see shifts in the group but in a good way.”
Janet will also get to show off her baby boy Cameron. She said, “Season 1, I was pregnant. It was kind of more about me and what was going on [with] my pregnancy. Now you can kind of see us as a family. So, I think that’s going to be a more fun dynamic to get to see.” Let’s hope the two can stay together and beat the Bravo curse.
The Valley is streaming on Peacock.
