The highly anticipated debut of season 2 of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon - The Book of Carol is coming soon. Fans eagerly await the continued story of Daryl's (Norman Reedus) adventures in France and the return of Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride) in the upcoming season. AMC and AMC+ will premiere season 2 on Sunday, September 29, at 9 p.m. ET. While this is exciting news, the renewal of the series for a third season is also a trending topic.

Production for the third season of Daryl Dixon began in August and the third installment of the series bring about many changes. The first of these is the filming location and setting for the story will be in Spain. Filming will take place in and around Madrid in Galicia, Aragón, Catalonia and Valencia regions. This will allow the series to further expansion of The Walking Dead universe which is the first to take the story overseas.

Season three will follow Carol and Daryl in their efforts to return home. Their travels will take them to foreign lands, giving a broader view the effects of the apocalypse has had around the world. The path they take sees the duo experience many struggles and leads them further astray.

The third season will debut in 2025 with David Zabel continuing as showrunner and exective producing with Scott M. Gimple, Reedus, McBride, Greg Nicotero, Brian Bockrath, Angela Kang, Jason Richman, Dan Percival and Steve Squillante. This season Silvia Aráez and Jesús de la Vega from Ánima Stillking join as executive producers.

This week AMC announced new cast members for the third season of Daryl Dixon in FesTVal, a national television festival celebrated annually in the city of Vitoria in Spain.
