The following contains spoilers for The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 2, Episode 2, "Another Shitty Lesson," which premiered Sunday, May 11 on AMC.
The Walking Dead: Dead City just carried out its first battle in Season 2, Episode 2, officially signaling the start of the war between New Babylon and the gangs of New York. Thrust in the middle are Maggie and Negan, on both sides, trying to prevent collateral damage without dying themselves. The two survivors are still enemies due to deep-rooted problems from their pasts, but will a common cause bring them together?
Long-time The Walking Dead fans have speculated that Season 2 might be the season that Negan and Maggie put their differences aside to create a better world for not only themselves, but their own children. Yet, at their core, they're sorely incompatible. There's a reason New Babylon recruited Maggie and the Dama recruited Negan; Maggie represents law and society, and Negan represents anarchy and chaos. In Season 2, Episode 3, their loyalties to their personal codes are put to the test when the two groups clash in unique circumstances.

Speaking of Maggie, she's taking charge of the expedition mission now that Governor Charlie Byrd lost her life in the battle against the Burazi. The first stop is an overgrown Central Park, where nature will surely become New Babylon's number one enemy again. As for Negan, he's learned that there are consequences for what will happen when he crosses the Dama the wrong way. He might continue to play along, but that doesn't mean he'll let Victor's death slide under the rug in Season 2, Episode 3.
