During a recent interview with Radio Times, while continuing to hype up Daryl Dixon’s "mind-blowing" Season 2, Reedus seemingly confirmed that The Walking Dead spinoff might have already been renewed for two more seasons. He also shared that the creative team is planning to explore other parts of Europe in future installments. At the moment, AMC Networks has yet to make any official announcements about the show’s potential renewal. "We're about to start seasons 3 and possibly 4 in Spain," he said. "I think I'm allowed to say that. I don't know. I just said it. But I think we're going to Spain, to Madrid, for that."

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon - The Book of Carol hails from showrunner David Zabel, who’s also executive producing alongside Scott M. Gimple, Reedus, McBride, Greg Nicotero, Angela Kang and more. The next season will also star returning cast members Clémence Poésy, Louis Puech Scigliuzzi, Laika Blanc Francard, Anne Charrier, Romain Levi and Eriq Ebouaney, as they reprise their respective roles as Isabelle, Laurent, Sylvie, Marion, Stéphane, and Fallou. The first installment ends with Laurent disrupting Daryl's plans to sail home to his family in America, while Carol begins her search for him.

"We're about to start seasons 3 and possibly 4 in Spain."

According to Zabel, Season 2 will feature Daryl struggling to make a choice between going back to his loved ones, or staying in Paris with Isabelle and Laurent. The official synopsis for The Book of Carol reads, "the new season picks up where The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon left off, following fan-favorite characters Daryl Dixon (Reedus) and Carol Peletier (McBride). They both confront old demons while she fights to find her friend, and he struggles with his decision to stay in France, causing tension at the Nest. Additionally, Genet (Charrier)'s movement builds momentum, setting Pouvoir on a violent collision course with the Union of Hope in the fight for France's future."

What’s Next for Norman Reedus?

Prior to Daryl Dixon Season 2, fans can now see Reedus in Focus Features’ latest crime drama film The Bikeriders, which is currently playing in theaters worldwide. He is also currently attached to star in Lionsgate’s upcoming John Wick spinoff Ballerina, which arrives in theaters on June 6, 2025. According to Reedus, shooting the Ana de Armas-led movie was physically demanding since his character will be involved in lots of fight sequences. "It was painful. [Laughs] I just got back from Budapest where we added more fight scenes to it.," he said. "So, I went from Japan to Budapest, back to Japan basically. It's high-octane. It's a cool story, it's well-acted, visually stunning, but it's just like bang, bang, bang, bang, bang." In addition, Reedus is also still slated to reprise his role in the long-awaited The Boondock Saints III, which has been in development hell for over a decade.
