The contract of Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is of great importance right now.
After coming off of the best season of his career but entering the final year of his current deal, Jerry Jones and Co. will have to make a choice on how much they want to pay the former Mississippi State star.
Insider Jordan Schultz recently took to social media to explain how much Prescott could make on his next deal.
“Trevor Lawrence getting $55 million per year just reassures that Dak Prescott will become the NFL’s first $60 million per year, whether it’s from Dallas or a new team when he becomes a free agent next year,” Schultz stated.

Coming off of a career year that saw him throw a career-best 410 completions and a career-best 36 touchdowns, Prescott is an ascending player.
The All-Pro signal-caller has led Dallas to three consecutive 12-win seasons.
He has been playing great ball as of late despite cooling off a bit in the playoffs.
If Dallas were to decide to not sign him to a massive extension, perhaps there would be other teams that could look to add the veteran.
But if they can find a way to ink him to a long-term deal, they can stay in Super Bowl contention while adding more pieces around him.
The team still needs to figure out how to sign him, All-Pro edge-rusher Micah Parsons and All-Pro wide receiver CeeDee Lamb to major deals.
After all, one could argue that these are the team’s three best players overall.
