Detroit Lions fans are losing their minds after running back Jahmyr Gibbs pulled off a jaw-dropping highlight at training camp today.
In a routine 11-on-11 drill, Gibbs caught a short pass in the flat — then broke three tackles, spun away from a linebacker, and left the secondary chasing nothing but air. The crowd’s reaction was so loud, one veteran joked it felt like a playoff game in August.
Teammates say Gibbs has been in “video game mode” all week, and today might have been his best showing yet. Head coach Dan Campbell simply smiled when asked about the play:
“That’s just Gibbs being Gibbs. He’s got another gear that most guys don’t have.”
The clip of the run has already gone viral on social media, racking up hundreds of thousands of views within hours.
Question for the NFC North:
If Jahmyr Gibbs looks this dangerous in practice… what’s he going to do when the games count?
