Joe Burrow had a storied college football career. He led LSU to a national championship-winning season with a star-studded roster that features now-Cincinnati Bengals teammate Ja'Marr Chase and Minnesota Vikings superstar Justin Jefferson.
Since arriving in Cincinnati, Burrow has been nothing short of a superstar. Sure, his first season was disappointing as he suffered a season-ending injury after a losing campaign. Since then? He's been everything but the problem for the Bengals.
The narrative around Burrow might fluctuate, but his stardom can't be denied. He's a true superstar in the NFL and the Bengals are lucky to have him.
Now, college prospects are getting Burrow comparisons as they go through the NFL draft process. One player who recently got a comparison to Burrow is Shedeur Sanders, who Tennessee Titans head coach Brian Callahan recently spoke about.
"People had questions about Burrow's arm strength in general coming out," Callahan told ESPN's Turron Davenport. "One of the things that makes Joe so unique, and I think you can probably put Shedeur in the same conversation. ... They anticipate when they throw it, they have the timing and accuracy on top of it. That makes up for the arm strength.
"Those things are how you make up for maybe not having the biggest arm. If you're throwing on time and putting a ball when and where you're supposed to go, you're not going to have too many problems."
Callahan has the credentials to say this, too. The now-Titans head coach was Burrow's offensive coordinator for four seasons. He helped develop the LSU product into the superstar he is today.
The Titans are lucky to have Callahan as they usher in a new era and add a new quarterback under center. Burrow is a great case study for that, too. If Sanders pans out like Burrow did -- whatever team that drafts him will be quite lucky.
