Titans predicted as future landing spot for $21 million wide receiver

The Tennessee Titans have a good situation at the wide receiver position in 2024 after adding Tyler Boyd and Calvin Ridley in free agency, both of whom joined wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins.

But things could drastically change in 2025, as Hopkins and Boyd are both set to hit free agency. Adding to that, one or both could be trade candidates at this year's deadline if Tennessee's 1-3 season continues to go south.

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins (85)

With there being a distinct possibility that the Titans lose Boyd and Hopkins, the scouting department over at Bleacher Report predicts Tennessee will sign Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins in 2025 free agency.

If Levis doesn't turn things around, it wouldn't be surprising to see the Titans target a quarterback in next season's draft. Brian Callahan wasn't around when they picked Levis, and the head coach might want to just start over at the position.

If they do that, then Tee Higgins should be one of their top priorities. DeAndre Hopkins is set to be a free agent, and reuniting Callahan with Higgins could be a mutually beneficial partnership.

It's logical to connect Higgins to the Titans, not only because of their potential need at wide receiver next year, but also because of head coach Brian Callahan, who was Higgins' former offensive coordinator in Cincy.

Higgins has a pair of 1,000-yard seasons under his belt, but he also comes with injury concerns. He's only played one full campaign in his career and missed five games last year and two more in 2024.

Higgins is currently playing on the franchise tag for $21.8 million, which puts him on track to be a free agent next year, assuming the Bengals don't tag him again or trade him to another team ahead of the deadline that will give him an extension.

If the Titans are in the market for a wide receiver next offseason and Higgins is available, it's conceivable he ends up in Nashville, but the price would have to be right. Tennessee almost certainly won't want to shell out big money for two wide receivers after handing Ridley a big contract in 2024.
