Tom Wilson is already back in the gym less than a month after the Capitals concluded their 2024-25 season with Breakdown Day on May 17.
The 31-year-old winger was at the Toronto-based Paragenix Systems for training on Friday. Wilson has regularly worked with strength and conditioning coaches Matt Nichol and Mike Carneiro at the elite training center over the past few summers.
Wilson, a recent Reebok endorsee, was wearing a Reebok-branded shirt for his workout.
With Paragenix Systems, Wilson has previously trained alongside fellow NHL players such as Tyler Seguin, Brandon Mountour, Michael Bunting, and Jared McCann. Capitals prospect Cam Allen is also a regular at the gym during his offseason.
Wilson is coming off a career-best 2024-25 campaign, recording 65 points (33g, 32a) in 81 games. He also had a successful postseason for the Caps, posting seven points (3g, 4a) in 10 playoff outings.
“This is one of the best years of my hockey career, Wilson said after the Capitals’ second-round elimination to the Carolina Hurricanes. “The amount of fun that we had, how close a group it truly was, and it’s hard to look around the room when you’re done and know this specific team will never be together again.”
