Trade Buzz Ignites Around Braelon Allen — Are the Jets Ready to Let Him Walk?

New York, NY — Just when Jets fans were getting excited about the power and potential of rookie running back Braelon Allen, the rumor mill has kicked into high gear — and the whispers are getting louder.

Sources close to the team suggest that Allen, who has shown flashes of brilliance in camp but is buried in a crowded backfield, has become a quiet name in trade conversations. With Breece Hall locked in as RB1 and veteran depth behind him, New York may be considering cashing in on Allen’s value before the season begins.

One AFC scout reportedly called Allen “a bulldozer with surprising burst” and believes he “could start for several teams right now.” That’s the kind of talk that gets front offices dialing.

“Jets have depth. Other teams have desperation,” an anonymous NFC exec told local media. “It makes sense.”

No deal is imminent — yet. But if injuries pile up elsewhere or a team loses a power back, don’t be shocked if Allen’s name headlines a trade alert before Week 1.

“I came here to compete,” Allen told reporters last week. “Whatever happens, I’ll be ready — pads on, mindset locked in.”

Whether that next snap comes in Gotham green or somewhere else... the NFL might be about to see Braelon Allen unleashed.
