The Kansas City Chiefs are the team that everyone is trying to catch up to. They've won two straight Super Bowl titles and have a bullseye on their back.

That comes with the territory and they are used to it. That's what happens when you have the best quarterback-head coach duo in Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid.

Add in superstar tight end Travis Kelce and you're cooking. Training camp is kicking off around the league and the Chiefs are in the facility, as rookies and quarterbacks reported on July 16. Kelce has already made an impact on a rookie playmaker this offseason.

Chiefs News: Jared Wiley Is Already Learning From Travis Kelce

This past NFL draft, the Chiefs selected tight end Jared Wiley in the fourth round. Although Kelce isn't at training camp yet, he's already made an impact on Wiley through OTAs and minicamp.

The 23-year-old spoke with reporters on Thursday and discussed how the nine-time Pro Bowler has helped him.

"You can pick up a lot just from his knowledge of the game, whether it’s of our offense. Obviously, he’s been in it for a while. Just knowing what the defense is going to do and how he can kind of manipulate his routes, or change what he’s doing, to make them think that he’s doing something else, that’d be the biggest thing that I’d say that I’ve looked at so far."

Kelce is one of the best tight ends in NFL history so any knowledge that he has is beyond helpful and Wiley is taking notes.

Since Mahomes took over as the starter in 2018, Kelce has been unstoppable. The Cincinnati product has logged 497 receptions for 7,428 receiving yards, and 52 scores.

He is now looking to give down some tips to the younger guys as they go for their third straight Super Bowl title.

Wiley, 6'6, is a very willing and engaged blocker. He also has solid hands and can be a viable threat in the red zone. That, mixed in with the info gained from Kelce and Wiley, could very well make an impact in 2024 and beyond.
