Jason Kelce's long-awaited "Monday Night Countdown" debut required a trip to the mall.
Kelce, the former Philadelphia Eagles center, left his travel bag in his truck and needed to make a trip to the mall to purchase a new shirt, Scott Van Pelt revealed. Kelce got the job done, though, wearing a plain white, long-sleeved dress shirt as the show kicked off.
"It fits my belly now. I've lost a little bit of weight," Kelce joked.
"The fact that a Hall of Fame center can shop at Lululemon, that's big, man, that's a big accomplishment," Ryan Clark said.
Kelce's wardrobe decision caught his brother, Travis Kelce, off guard. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end posted his thoughts on X, expressing surprise Jason didn't go shirtless.
Travis' post referred to Jason going viral for being shirtless during the Chiefs-Buffalo Bills AFC divisional round game last season.
After Travis caught a 22-yard touchdown in the third quarter of that game, cameras caught Jason roaring in celebration with a beer in hand and no shirt. Moments later he hopped out of the suite to interact with fans -- still sans shirt.
Travis also had high praise for his brother's MNF debut. He responded "What a natural!!" to a screenshot of Jason on set.
