Travis Kelce's Instagram Post After Election Day Causes a Stir Among Fans

The Kansas City Chiefs continue to dominate the NFL, entering Week 10 with a perfect 8-0 record.

Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, who broke the franchise record for most receptions (917) in September, continued to add to his future Hall of Fame career resume.

During Kansas City's 30-27 overtime win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on "Monday Night Football," the All-Pro registered a career-high 14 catches for 100 yards, becoming the first player in NFL history after turning 35 to register 14-plus receptions in a single game.

Cheering Kelce on during the veteran's incredible performance in primetime, his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, who watched most of the game at Arrowhead Stadium while sitting between her mother, Andrea Swift, and his mom, Donna Kelce.

While rumors swirled Swift might miss the matchup to attend Vice President Kamala Harris' rally in Pennsylvania, who she fully endorsed back in September, the 34-year-old pop star arrived to the game an hour before kickoff.

Two days later, and one day after Donald Trump won the 2024 presidential election, Kelce posted several photos from the Bucs-Chiefs showdown. He captioned the post, "Arrowhead at night 🏟️🔥🔥."

A bulk of his fans, still emotionally raw from the election results, didn't appreciate the timing of Kelce's post. One person commented, "Trav read the room." Another person wrote, "bb love you but feel like maybe this could have been rescheduled to post any day but today."

One woman wrote, "Little tone deaf brother. Do better." Another Chiefs fan added, "Travis pls not right now we’re mourning."

Other users online, however, decided it was a perfect to time bash Swift for her political endorsement.

One woman commented on Kelce's post, "When is your gf leaving the country??? Can’t wait!! 🤮Trump 2024 💙🇺🇸❤️." Another person wrote, "Did your gf pack her bags yet!!! America has spoken." One man added, "RIP to your girlfriend's Presidential candidate. LOL #Trump2024."

Kelce didn't make a public political endorsement in 2024, however, he did like his manager's wife Amanda Santa's Instagram post that endorsed Harris/Walz.

Next up for the Chiefs, facing the Denver Broncos at Arrowhead Stadium in Week 10.
