The Dallas Cowboys will finally get the pairing of Trevon Diggs and DaRon Bland in their secondary for the first time this season in a much anticipated partnership on the defensive side.
ARLINGTON - The Dallas Cowboys (5-7) complete the second of a two-game home stand Monday night, hosting the Cincinnati Bengals (4-8). This marks the fourth and final contest for Dallas against the AFC North division this season.
Still on the far outskirts of the NFC playoff picture, the Cowboys seek a third consecutive victory to keep those hopes alive. The Bengals find themselves in a similar predicament, though more desperately in need of a win having lost four of their last five games.
For Dallas, they come into this game still without some key pieces, namely Zack Martin, who will undergo season-ending surgery.
But they do get some good news with rookie left tackle Tyler Guyton active and veteran cornerback Trevon Diggs returning to the lineup for the first time since Week 11.
Diggs has missed the last two games with a knee injury, but will now start with DaRon Bland as the two make their much anticipated debut together in the Cowboys' secondary.
Despite Diggs' return, Dallas has nonetheless called upon a few reinforcements in the secondary, activating Amani Oruwariye from the injured reserve and Kemon Hall has also been signed to the active roster from the practice squad.
The Cowboys have also elevated Andrew Booth from the practice squad, but he remains among the team's inactives against Cincinnati. Joining Booth is Deuce Vaughn, Jalen Brooks, Tyrus Wheat, Damone Clark and Juanyeh Thomas.
The Bengals' contingent of inactives for this contest includes Charlie Jones, Daijahn Anthony, Orlando Brown Jr., Tanner McLachlan and Sheldon Rankins.
Kickoff for Cowboys and Bengals is set for 7:15 p.m. from AT&T Stadium with the game to be broadcast on ABC and ESPN.
