What Daryl Dixon's New Trailer Means For Season 2, Episode 5

Laurent Is In More Danger Than He's Ever Been Before

The newest trailer indicates Daryl Dixon's characters will all be congregating in the same area, bringing the story to a head with Laurent in the center of the conflict. Despite originally questioning his decision to have the boy get bitten by a zombie, killing Isabelle has seemingly influenced Losang to become more determined to follow through with his decision. However, if Daryl and Carol are able to rescue the boy beforehand, they might have a chance at bringing him to America, convincing him the chaos of France makes it too dangerous to stay.

However, although Carol is hoping Ash can take them all back to America, he appears to be in danger, potentially stalling their plans to escape. The same can be said about when he discovers she was lying about Sophia being alive, something that could cause more tension despite their goal of rescuing Laurent. Since Daryl Dixon season 3 has already been confirmed to take place in Spain, it's unclear how the upcoming conflict will result in the pair staying in Europe, and what it means for the fates of the other characters around them.

Since Isabelle and Genet are now dead, it seems the storyline in France is beginning to come to a close. Since this upcoming episode will have major characters intersecting in various important ways, it seems to be establishing many elements that will be resolved as Daryl and Carol inch closer to saving Laurent. However, with two major deaths in the most recent episode, it's clear plenty of twists and turns will be happening not only in the next episode, but also in the forthcoming Daryl Dixon season finale.
