Cam Ward is either a comedic genius or is completely clueless about how funny he is. The soon-to-be drafted quarterback has been building his social media presence and connecting with fans by streaming his Fortnite gameplay. With his stock as the potential first overall pick increasing day by day, Ward has begun to defend members of the Tennessee Titans, the team with the first overall pick in the 2025 Draft.

While playing Fortnite online, Cam Ward prefers to take up questions from fans and friends he invites on his stream. Recently, he was asked to name the best running backs in the NFL. The response to that question is a no-brainer; the logical answers are Saquon Barkley and Derrick Henry. However, Cam Ward is using these questions to hint that he will soon be the first overall pick.

The former Miami quarterback named Tony Pollard and Tyjae Spears as his favorite running backs. There are two things that Pollard and Spears have in common: first is that they’re both on Tennessee’s roster, and second is that they do not fall under the list of top 5 running backs in the NFL.

Subsequently, Cam Ward went a step further and gave a shoutout to wide receiver Calvin Ridley by stating that he is better than a Super Bowl champion. “

That’s an interesting take to have, but not surprising since Ward has begun to lay the groundwork to be drafted first overall.

One of two things is happening here: either Cam Ward knows something that the fans do not yet, or he is attempting to manifest being picked No.1 overall. Fortunately, in under 10 days, the Heisman runner-up will know for certain if he will play for the Titans or drop further.

Things have moved in Ward’s favor since his Pro Day performance. The Titans liked what they saw from him , and his skills have earned him an additional private workout and throwing session with the franchise, as reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The quarterback came to play on his Pro Day, and the highlight of the event was him completing a pass and immediately turning to Tennessee’s general manager, Mike Borgonz, and President of Football Operations, Chad Brinker.

When asked by the media about his conversation with the Titans’ front office moguls, Ward said he helped them in making the decision on whom to draft.

Cam Ward certainly has the traits of a good franchise quarterback: a charming personality that wins fans, the drive to consistently improve, and the skills to back the talk up.

In just one season playing for Miami, Ward raked up 4,313 yards, 39 touchdowns, and 7 interceptions. His numbers set a single-season record in Miami’s history for passing yards, passing touchdowns, and completions. Now, he is expected to be drafted first overall, not bad for a former zero-star recruit out of Texas.

Tennessee is spoiled for choice as they have three stars from three different positions to consider picking. Cam Ward, Travis Hunter, and Abdul Carter are all excellent candidates who bring unique strengths to the table. The Titans are inclined toward picking a reliable franchise quarterback, and Ward is slowly emerging as the favorite to go first overall.
